Generate Signature in your PDF with Typeflow
It's now possible to generate signatures in your PDFs with Typeflow. Now, you can ask your signatory to sign, and automatically, it will create a PDF that will integrate the signature into your PDFs.
For that, it's mandatory to use the Typeflow form. Please check out this tutorial to see how to implement a form.
In this tutorial, I'm going to explain two use cases:
Create a new record with a signature and generate a PDF
Update a record with a signature and generate a PDF
How to create the signature in PDF with Typeflow
After selecting a template, you need to choose a way to generate a PDF:
Through a form
Through Airtable
Select the first option.
Pick a base
Pick a table
Pick an attachment field
Get redirected to the form builder
Pick whatever fields you want to show in your form
Select display fields
Drag and drop Signature field
Configure your Signature by mapping it to an attachment field. The signature will be attached in this field.
Save your form
Create a new record and generate a PDF with Signature.
When a signatory signs, it automatically creates a new record in Airtable and triggers the script to generate a PDF.
In this video
Update a record and generate a PDF with Signature.
You can follow those steps to make sure your form updates a record and triggers a PDF:
Copy the second link from the shared page
Paste it in a formula field in Airtable - It generates a unique link for each record to be updated
When a submission happens, it will create a PDF with the signature in the correct record (follow the steps above to create a signature in your PDF correctly)
Some use cases
Here is a use case you could implement thanks to this feature:
Send this contract to your signatory
Send the form to your signatory
A new contract will be generated when the signatory fills the form with the signature. This contract will include the signature.
